Ferry / Hydrofoil From Naples
They depart daily from the ports of Naples and Sorrento, both the hydrofoils and ferries to Capri. In Naples there are two ports of departure: Molo Beverello and Calata Porta di Massa (connected by a free shuttle).
Hydrofoils and ferries from Sorrento to Capri leave from Marina Piccola, it's hectic, especially in summer. However, there are very frequent departures and the ride is about 30 minutes. The port is easily accessible to walk from the center of Sorrento, by following the steps from Piazza Tasso or taking one of the buses that go back and forth, from the center of Sorrento and from the Circumvesuviana station.
Bringing your car to Capri, is not recommended, it is forbidden to non-residents during most of the year. You may leave it in the parking lot at the port of Sorrento or at the port of Naples. During the summer you can also reach Capri from Amalfi, Positano, Salerno, and from the island of Ischia.
